How to Backyard Orchard Workday

Think Fast! Sign up for this volunteer opportunity where you can learn how to plant a fruit tree properly, how to prune fruit trees and more! Plus, an assortment of fruit trees will be available for sale!

We will be replanting a few trees in our orchard at Owenwood Farm and Neighbor Space with nectarines, peaches, and a few agarita (native shrubs) and also planting understory plants. Afterwards, we will be pruning some of the trees in the orchard (removing suckers, watersprouts, and more). Giving Grove Program Manager, Ilyse, will lead all volunteers through the processes. Come to help and leave with enough knowledge to start your own little orchard in your backyard.
