This introduction to the topic will frame the needed concepts to help you implement food safety best practices as you start your farm operation. We will cover what you need to know about the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and basic food safety risk assessment. This webinar is aimed at those growing fresh fruits and vegetables. GROW North Texas Executive Director, Susie Marshall along with Food Security Advocate and Dallas-native, Candace Thompson, will provide on-farm food safety training for beginners and small farm operations. Attendees will gain skills to develop their food safety plan and navigate best practices for their farm!
